Challenge
A client was seeking assistance to identify a need in the industry for a better treatment option.
Solution
i2Vision convened a Delphi panel of expert ocular surface disease professionals, both MDs and ODs, to identify and discuss the disease, its diagnosis, signs and symptoms, pathology, current available treatment options, and areas warranting further research.
The panel strived to reach consensus regarding the disease thorough literature review, multiple surveys, and a virtual meeting in two phases. These activities provided content for multiple abstracts and manuscripts. The development of additional manuscripts and presentations are currently being discussed.
In short, i2Vision developed a panel of experts to identify the disease and treatment options to provide data to the company to support the development of their product, establish the need in the industry and identify educational opportunities and gaps for further research.
Result
Deliverables included the establishment of an expert panel on the disease, multiple abstracts, and a manuscript. Additional abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations are expected along with PR around those publications and educational activities.
